Will it hurt?
A little, especially the first time. But less than you're imagining, and dramatically less by your second visit. The skincare steps in the Treatment exist specifically to reduce discomfort.
How awkward is it?
Less than you'd think. I do this all day, every day — and the moment you walk in, you'll feel that. Your comfort is the entire focus of the appointment.
Do I shave first? Grow it out?
Don't shave. Your hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long — about the length of a grain of rice — for the best results. If you've been shaving, give it about two weeks to grow.
What do I wear?
Whatever's comfortable. You'll undress from the waist down privately in the treatment room before we begin. You're covered the entire time you're not being worked on.
Is it really worth it?
Once you experience properly cared-for skin in this area — smooth, no ingrowns, no irritation — most clients don't go back to shaving. Your first visit is where you find out if it's right for you.
I'm really nervous. Is that normal?
Completely normal. I work with first-timers every week, and nerves disappear within the first few minutes once you realize how routine this is for me. Take a deep breath. You're going to be fine.

How does the code work?

How long does the appointment take?
About 30 minutes — including the full Treatment and time at the end for your skin mapping consult and to plan your next visit.
How long does my hair need to grow?
Let the hair grow to about a quarter inch — roughly two to three weeks, with no shaving in between. Exfoliate gently a day or two before, skip lotion the day of, and if you're sensitive, an over-the-counter pain reliever about 30 minutes beforehand helps.
Can I get waxed during my period?
Yes — you can absolutely come in. Just wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. Skin can be slightly more sensitive during this time, but it doesn't affect the quality of the wax.
How long does it last?
Most clients book their next appointment 3-4 weeks out. Hair grows back finer over time, and the longer you stick with waxing, the longer the results last between visits.
Will I have bumps or redness afterward?
Some redness is normal for the first few hours. The skincare steps in the Treatment are specifically designed to minimize this — most clients are surprised by how little reaction they have compared to what they'd expected.
I've never had a Brazilian before. Is this right for me?
Absolutely. First-time waxers are some of my favorite clients to work with. I'll walk you through every step, and the skincare elements actually make the experience more comfortable than a standard Brazilian elsewhere.
